"MAGA intellectual" is an oxymoron; not to mention the exact kind of pandering that has us all in the current mess! Case is closer to a donkey with ears than to an intellectual. He-haw doesn't begin to do him justice.

There's a "maga intellectual" occupation?

@tommysaxman May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

OMG. USA workers can’t compete against Chinese and Asian workers who will work 60 hours a week for pennies an hour. Any future manufacturing will be robotic and not many actual workers. This is all a big scam and distraction from Trump destroying the government and Constitutional rights.

@genewilliams245 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

Thank you Larry. Finally someone saying what I’m thinking. Trump plan is destroying our country. MAGA is making us poor not great again.

Just build a new steel mill. The integrated steel mill I worked in would require 15-20 years to build and start up. And at least $2B. Maybe, maybe 1000 workers. Most systems are automated for cost, but more importantly safety.

Make China rich – The Trump incompetency

@Bleedband123 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

Youl can't compete with the labour costs that India and china have to offer , for example starting salaries for an associate at Delloite in the US is $60,000/- per year while in india for the same position/competence and willing to work extra hours is $5,000 per year , its 1/10th the cost, it is not feasible to bring back manufacturing/have jobs in the US.

Larry Summers is an idiot and/or a blatant liar. Either way I've wasted too much time listening to him. He's like that other idiot Chuck Schumer who got up in front of the Senate with an avocado and a bottle of Corona beer two weeks before the Super Bowl and said that your guacamole and beer for the Super Bowl is gonna cost you a lot more money. That was on a Friday. By Sunday, two days later, Mexico had caved and everything that Schumer said did not come to pass. It will be exactly the same with everything that Summers is saying now. Did Schumer admit he was wrong. No he just moved on to the next ridiculous inflammatory statement. Larry Summers will follow the same play book. Pathetic.

@rajubhaskar8309 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

You are corruptto the core Fareed. Biden recklessly printed trillions and distributed 100s of billions in corruption. Caused this terrible inflation. He brought 10s of millions of illegals and criminals to stay in power. Common tax payers bear the cost of their privileged treatment. Biden weaponized $ and now all countries are dumping $. You were happy with all these horrendous things because you get your millions. You and your democrats will make this country like Mexico. Disgusting.

Go Trump!!

@MouthyBumLord May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

Trump’s threating Powell is his narcissist petulant insecurity on display trying to seize complete authority. His destruction of institutions and economies are Impeachment Worthy.

@foothilldave May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

Trying to rationalize that Trump’s trade policy is good – doesn’t put back the lost 20% of my retirement or take away the extra $1/gal on gas. Those are reality.

GOP KILLED THE USA

@carlosagarcia9385 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

The truth…!!!

Manufacturing in the USA is dead….

And will never resuscitate..

Do you want to buy an iPhone manufactured in the USA…????

It will cost you: 9000.00 dollars…

Who is to blame…

The American consumer and its greedy tendency to only think about money, money, money…..

@munnadhaka1 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

international trade by specializing in the production of goods and services where they have a relative advantage, even if they don't have an absolute advantage in all areas. In simpler terms, a country should focus on what it can produce more efficiently relative to other countries, even if another country can produce everything more efficiently overall.

@rodeochrist May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

MAGA and intellectual are oxymorons

@BobbyHickey May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

Perhaps the warning in the 90s that we were too service oriented should have been listened to.

Hey, my name is Orrin, f – me….

@scottzundel3870 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

Yet in 2017 Trump went to his first NATO meeting are begged NATO members to spend 2% of their GDP on defense as the NATO treaty requires. He begging them to shut of NORD II (Natural gas from Russia) and offered to build ports in Europe so they could get US natural gas. He waned them about cultural decline with open borders. He warned them about Russia.

They laughed at him. They called him stupid. THEY were wrong. Trump was right.

@rabukan5842 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

Wow, this MAGA moron should understand economics before being allowed to decide a nation’s economic future. He doesn’t realize that 17 million jobs in the 1940s is only 8% of jobs in 2025 because the population has grown that much. Duh. So we are now being crucified by these Trump idiots who don’t know how to read a chart or understand that economies change over time and so must we – tax the wealthy much more in a fair and equal way; support the middle class by providing the programs they need so they are not just living paycheck to paycheck, and so their children can also experience the American dream we once had. It’s actually pretty simple.

@thgoodguy9047 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

That's because Trump is a sellout all the people we're in government

@harrybythebeach1461 May 14, 2025 - 3:23 pm

"You showed your chart." Are we in kindergarten? this guy has an 80% punchable face that his voice makes 100%.
