I don't think Rachelle Farrell, nor anyone associated with her career, ever considered her to go pop. I think her self-titled album was geared toward smooth R&B.
OMG Yes. It Only a Took A Minute is right up Sharon Bryant's alley. Absolutely! Good call on that. Its in her range and same tenor of their voices. Same background layering. Similar stylings. You can't get it…Absolutely Chaka. You nailed it! Nothing Has Ever Felt…Angela…yes. Ronald Isley is almost the opposite of Will Downing tonally.
And keep in mind that she had 4 singles released, starting in 1992. I really have to say I can't be mad at her label. She got 4 singles released. Other divas around this time got 2 maybe 3 singles released if they were lucky.
